Skill Development Centre

TWEET operates Skill Development Centers, empowering community women with essential employment-oriented skills. These centers provide comprehensive training programs designed to enhance women’s abilities in various trades, equipping them to pursue both self-employment and wage employment opportunities. By fostering entrepreneurship and enhancing job readiness, the initiative aims to promote financial independence and uplift the socio-economic status of women within the community. Through this collaborative effort, the program not only addresses skill gaps but also contributes to building a more inclusive and sustainable workforce.

Jute Bag Making Unit

The Jute Bag Making Unit was established at the Skill Development Center in Shram Vihar, Delhi, as part of a broader initiative aimed at empowering women through skill development and economic opportunities. This project serves as a multipurpose intervention designed to address the socio-economic challenges faced by women in the area. Through this initiative, TWEET successfully provided employment and a stable income source to three women from the locality, enabling them to gain financial independence and contribute to their households. Beyond economic empowerment, the program also fosters community engagement and promotes the use of eco-friendly materials like jute, aligning with sustainable development goals.
