Overcoming numerous challenges, Mariyath has emerged as a successful woman. In her early school days, she faced a high fever that unfortunately left her paralyzed. However, this setback didn’t deter her spirit. Mariyath is not only an accomplished painter but also an inspiring author. Her debut book, “Kalam Maycha Kaalpadukal,” was published in 2009, and in 2012, it was translated from Malayalam to Kannada, resonating with many disabled individuals who found solace and motivation within its pages.
Her incredible journey and dedication caught the attention of many, leading to her being chosen as the youth icon for Malappuram district during the general election in 2019.
The event was chaired by TWEET Chairperson A Rahamathunnisa, who presented Mariyath with a memento. General Secretary Shaista Rafat and Treasurer Dr. Sharnas Muthu also addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of Mariyath’s journey and the impact of her work.
She was in in Delhi to attend Sahitya Akademi’s All India Differently Abled Writers’ Meet. Mariyath was representing the state of Kerala, showcasing her talent and resilience on a national platform.
