‘TWEET, through its skill development initiative, is doing what is the government’s responsibility as well.’ These are the words of Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan, spoken at the certificate distribution function at TWEET’s skill development centre in Shramvihar, Delhi. Shaheen Bagh Police Station SI, Sheel Kumar, Shaita Rafat, General Secretary TWEET and Dr. Arif Navi, Manager-Health Department, Human Welfare Foundation, attended the graduation day of the six-month certified course in tailoring. The program was witnessed by around 70 people from the local community.

All together, 20 girls received their certificates. With a pride of achievement on their faces, the young women who received their certificates expressed their pleasure and said that, with the help of this 6-month-long training in the stitching and tailoring trades at the TWEET Skill Development Centers in Shram Vihar, Delhi, they can now earn a dignified life for themselves and their families.

According to General Secretary TWEET, only by improving the socioeconomic and educational conditions of women from all walks of life can we ensure our nation’s growth and development. She also added TWEET as a pan-India NGO, is striving to make India’s female population an equal contributor in the nation-building process.
